A particularly fine and brilliantly figured George III Period Mahogany and Rosewood Bureau Bookcase, the moulded cornice with a Greek key pattern detail above a pendant teardrop and crossbanded frieze above the two eight pane gothic arch astragal glazed doors with adjustable shelves behind, the fall opening to reveal an interior of eight pigeon holes and eight small drawers all with chequer banding flanking a conforming central door and turned columns all above two half width drawers and two cupboard doors, the whole raised on shaped bracket feet. Ca. 1775
