George III inlaid Mahogany work box
A superb George III Mahogany, Satinwood, Kingwood, Ebony and Tulipwood Inlaid Work Box, the rectangular top inlaid with fan medallions within crossbanded borders, the front, back and sides all geometrically inlaid, the hinged lid opening to reveal a fitted interior with a conforming fan inlaid to the inside of the top and extensive use of black and white chequer banding throughout all above a spring loaded drawer to the right hand side released by withdrawing a brass pin to the inside.
