Chippendale Period Mahogany chest of drawers
A particularly fine and small Chippendale period Mahogany straight fronted Chest of Drawers, the rectangular top with a moulded edge above a pull out brushing slide and four cockbeaded, graduated drawers retaining the original elaborate Rococo handles and the whole raised on shaped bracket feet. Exceptional colour and grain.
The handles are the same as those used by Chippendale for the Dumfries House Parcel Gilt Padouk and Gilded Limewood Breakfront Bookcase made for Lord Dumfries in 1759.
