A particularly neat sized George I Walnut Card Table. This card table demonstrates the use of superb quality highly figured walnut throughout. The fold over top with elegant castellated corners opens to show a pale sage green suede playing surface. The table features round candle stands at each corner and sunken counter wells. The table opens using a concertina action. Slim tapered cabriole legs terminating in pad feet.

The use of the concertina action to support the top when opened was an expensive refinement reserved for the best quality pieces. It cost considerably more both in materials and time to make but had the advantages of a leg at each corner when opened and a frieze in this case in figured walnut running around all four sides of the table.

Delivery in the UK mainland is included in the marked price.
