A very good George III Period Mahogany Tambour Writing Table with a pull out writing slide having an easel book support in front of four small satinwood drawers and satinwood pigeon holes as well as five satinwood dummy drawers all above two frieze drawers and the whole raised on square tapered legs terminating in brass cups and casters. The general form of this excellent quality table with its Satinwood interior combined with the square section tapered legs with conforming brass cups and casters all help to date this to the George III period and about 1790. Please see our website further for a similar example with more of a Library feel to it rather than a Drawing Room piece which this is.
